Song for the new year!

While recovering from the Arrow Motel Ballroom New Years Eve extravaganza, Clyde wrote the lyrics to a new song he feels may be a musical icon for the new year. Here, for the first time, ready for any karaoke opportunities or sing-alongs at the next GilmerMetcalves' gig, is that song:

Her Interest Rate Dropped
(When She Found Out I Was Broke)

I was in a great depression
When she walked into the room
A vision of high yield beauty
She eased my sense of doom

We shared our thoughts of mutual fun
I was banking on sweet love
When she asked that fateful question
Like an audit from above

How much do you earn in a year?
I was just simple folk
And her interest rate dropped to zero
When she found out I was broke

She found out I was broke
She found out I was broke
It was the last time that we spoke
Her interest rate dropped to zero
When she found out I was broke
